What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out the estimate form on this site, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, the city where your project is, the type of work you are planning, and anything else you choose to tell us. We only ask for what we need to prepare an estimate and get back to you.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. Those logs record the IP address of the device requesting a page, the type of browser and operating system, the pages requested, and the date and time. This happens on every website and we do not use those logs to identify you personally.
What we do not collect. This site does not create user accounts, does not take payments, and does not ask for a Social Security number, a bank account, or a credit card. If anyone asks you for those through a form on this website, it is not us.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to call or write you back about your project, to prepare and send an estimate, to answer questions, and to schedule a site visit. If you become a customer, we use your contact information to coordinate the work and to reach you about your project while it is running.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to a data broker.
Text messages and phone calls
When you check the consent box on our estimate form, you are telling us we can reach you by phone call, by text message, or by email about the request you submitted.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone. This exclusion applies to every other part of this policy that describes sharing.
Message frequency varies and depends on your project.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (617) 487-2445.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of hiring us. If you would rather we only call or only email, tell us and we will.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the business, and only with what they need to do their part:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and delivers the estimate form to our inbox
- Our email provider, which carries the message to us
- Professionals we bring onto a project, such as an electrician or a plumber, when your project needs them and only with what they need to do the work
We also disclose information when the law requires it, when a court orders it, or when we need to defend a legal claim.
Cookies and measurement
Versão A, sem analytics instalado:
This site does not set advertising cookies and does not load tracking scripts from other companies. We do not follow you across other websites.
Versão B, com Google Tag Manager instalado:
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, for example which pages get read and which ones get abandoned. These tools set cookies in your browser and collect an anonymized version of your IP address. We use this to improve the site, not to identify you. You can block these cookies through your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests for as long as we might reasonably do business with you, and then we delete them. If you become a customer, we keep project records longer, because Massachusetts requires contractors to hold onto contract and warranty records and because a warranty question can come up years later.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time. See below.
How we protect it
We keep your information on password-protected accounts, we limit who on our team can see it, and this site is served over an encrypted connection. Massachusetts regulation 201 CMR 17.00 requires businesses that hold personal information about Massachusetts residents to protect it, and we follow it.
No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you and notify the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. You can tell us to stop calling, stop texting, or stop emailing, and we will. Call (617) 487-2445 or write to felipe@vanguardconstructiongroup.net and tell us what you want.
If you ask us to delete your information while a project is running, we may need to keep the parts tied to the contract and the warranty. We will tell you exactly what we kept and why.
Children
This site is for adults hiring a contractor. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child sent us information, call us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
This site links to our Google Business Profile and to our social media pages. Those are run by other companies with their own privacy policies, and this one does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant and we have your contact information, we will tell you directly.
