Composite or wood, what's the real difference?
Wood costs less up front but needs staining or sealing every couple of years. Composite costs more on day one and then asks almost nothing of you for decades. We'll price your project both ways so you can decide with real numbers.
Do I need a permit for a new deck?
In Massachusetts, almost always yes, and that's a good thing, because it means the structure gets inspected. We pull the permit, build to code and meet the inspector so you don't have to.
When is the best time to build a deck?
We build decks most of the year. If you book in the fall or winter, your deck is usually ready the moment the warm weather arrives, and scheduling is more flexible.
